Jeremy Scott’s Inflatable Shoes for Melissa Plastic Dreams Shoes SS16

I’ve been a massive fan of both Jeremy Scott and Melissa Shoes since I first became aware of either of them existing. I first discovered the magical, shoes of my dreams via the first ever Vivienne Westwood collaboration with Brazillian shoe brand, Melissa. I worked across the road from the Westwood shop and the first time I saw their sky blue and red Lady Dragon shoes, I just had to have them. They were in fact my first ever designer purchase from a designer store and I’ve still got them today.

Alice in Wonderland Through the Looking Glass x Urban Decay Make Up Collection

Make up and film collaborations are 100% the theme of my week, but I ain’t complaining when it’s something that combines two of my biggest geekdoms. Yes, it’s all part of a bigger marketing ploy each company using the other to boost awareness, create a story and ultimately persuade us into parting with our hard earnt cash. However, when the result is something this pretty you can’t really complain. This is the second Alice in Wonderland collection from Urban Decay and once again they’ve gone full on with it.

MAC x Good Luck Trolls Make Up Collection

Hello blog-reading folks, it’s been a while and this little collection sneak peek is what caught my attention enough to blog. Many of you will know that historically I’m not a massive MAC fangirl normally and have generally been disappointed by some of their limited edition collection as it’s often just repackaged colours or so limited edition that it’s basically impossible to get hold of. The latest news is about a rather retro, nostalgic collaboration with Trolls, which looks pretty special.

WIN a Hamper from Patisserie de Bain by Rose & Co

A long, long time ago in a city far, far away in Central Yorkshire, I lived and worked part time at a lovely vintage inspired apothecary and boutique called Rose & Co. We sold various gorgeous things from brands like Paul & Joe, What Katie Did and our own brand which at the time was largely cooked at home on an old fashioned oven by founder Caroline Rose. My time at Rose & Co taught me about pin-up and burlesque, how to fit corsets and how to do Victory Rolls. I didn’t work there for long but its influence has stayed with me to this day. So, I’m very pleased to be able to share with you a little competition to win a slice of the company for yourself. I’m running this out of sheer, genuine love for this brand and its owners.

Adventure Time Toys in McDonald’s Happy Meals 2016

Another Adventure Time post you say? Yes, because it’s my blog and I can write what I like and this is bloody brilliant so you really ought to know about it. Miz and I had a naughty McDonald’s lunch today because we were feeling sad that we had to rehome our pet fish today and we needed 20 McNuggets to console ourselves. To make things ever better I spotted (and quite nosily made it aware that I was excited) that they’ve got Adventure Time Happy Meals at the moment.
