As you will know, I have a thing for Melissa shoes, most of you will be familiar with this brand as they collaborated with Vivienne Westwood, see my previous blog if you don’t know. Anyway they are jelly shoes! And I just love jelly shoes, they are colourful, fun, comfortable and nostalgic, surely every little girl had a pair of glittery jelly sandals for paddling in the sea when you were small? I love that they have been reinvented for adults!
I did some research and have found some more jelly shoes that I love too. I just bought a pair of cobalt blue jelly gladiators from ASOS.com for only £10 (although now they appear to be only £6!), they are so comfortable and are also available in gold, black and pink. ASOS.com also have jelly shoes by Chloe, Firetrap, Carvela, KG and the new range of Melissa shoes, so I would certainly check them out!
I have since seen the same design in Miss Selfridge (in black, silver and bronze), as well as some adorable flat peeptoe slingbacks with bows on, in red and clear with glitter! Although, sadly for my they do not fit my feet very nicely. The clear ones make my think of Cinderella’s glass slippers.
In the world of jelly shoes, Ju Ju Jellies is another popular and affordable brand. Their styles are stocked in Office, Topshop, Schuh, River Island, Bank and Urban Outfitters to name a few!!
However, as usual my the shoes on my shoe wish list are still the lovely Melissa shoes, you can see their new designs on ASOS at the moment, they are wonderful designs, but I wish the colour palette was more exciting. ASOS also have the full range of the Vivienne Westwood Melissa’s, including the super adorable children’s range! Check them out! I’ve been offered some Ultragirl ballet pumps for my birthday but I cannot choose which colour! Any suggestions?
Has anyone else seen any amazing Jelly shoes? Do you love them or hate them?
