This weekend I finally got to see the new Illamasqua collection in the flesh. Firstly from a marvellous presentation from Head of Product Development and experienced make up artist David Horne at the Olympia Beauty show on Sunday, David and his team demonstrated a look from the new Theatre of the Nameless collection for A/W 11 as well as offering an insight into the inspiration and creation of the Illamasqua, it was fascinating and I’m delighted that I got to attend.

After the show I visited the equally marvellous Beak Street store in Soho, central London. Tempted by the entire range, with a particular interest in Beguile Pure Pigment and the Morale Blusher among many other things, I decided on the Faux Pas Rubber Finish Nail Polish, I loved the look of the colour and I was intrigued by the finish.

So here it is, in all its lovely purple glory and as described, with a rubber finish, like a latex sheen. It applies easily and works with just one coat, although I went for two as I wanted to touch up bits I’d missed. As with all Illamasqua nail polishes it dries quickly and lasts a long time.  A must try product for sure, I’ll be back for another colour on pay day!
