After a few weeks of joining in with the #bbloggers chat on Twitter and a few months of exploring other people’s blogs, it occurred to be the number of products that probably go to waste because you buy it/ get sent it to review, try it once or twice and then chuck it into the bottom of the drawer to never use again. Sound familiar?

Wouldn’t it be great if we could share the product love? By swapping products or samples that you’ve finished with for others that you’re interested in, it would give us all something new to write about, allow us to socialise with fellow bloggers and most importantly to save waste!

We could either do a mystery swap, where you are allocated a blogger (like a Secret Santa) and you send them a package of an agreed value, or we can do wish lists and bargain from there? What do you guys think?

I’m not sure how best to arrange this yet, but at the moment I think it would be best to get a list of interested bloggers, so if you are interested please either leave a comment on here or tweet me @JayneJRead using the hash tag #bbswap.

Edited to add, we now have a Facebook Group for this idea, please join it here.

Beauty Bloggers Product Swap #Bbswap?

    1. We could even do two options, one Secret Santa style and one bargaining sample swap, where you’d post a list of what you have to swap and what you’re looking to try and then people can give you an offer?

  1. Hey Jayne!

I like the idea in theory, but with something like this, the logistics would be a nightmare! does it very well, but they’ve been at it 10 years.

You could create a section on your blog dedicated to swap items, then spread the word, maybe have a button on your blog saying “I’m a swapper” and then everyone would know if someone’s a swapper or not when you read their blog?
