How cute is the Lanolips packaging? I received a sample of Lanolips Ointment 101 in my Latest in Beauty CEW Winners Box, as reviewed a few weeks ago.
I was excited to try Lanolips after hearing good things around blogs & seeing that the lovely Kenneth Soh uses it in his make up kit.
Lanolips Ointment 101, is a natural alternative to Vaseline in my view, as with Vaseline, Lanolips can be used for treating a variety of dry, chapped skin conditions. The lipgloss style tube packaging, makes use on lips an obvious choice. It’s made from medical grade lanolin (an ingredient derived from sheep’s wool).
Lanolips Ointment 101 is a clear, glossy salve, a thick consistency very much like Vaseline. However, I would say that as a lip treatment, Lanolips has the more appealing finish, a lovely non sticky, smooth sheer gloss look which is ideal for everyday use.
I found that the ointment was an easy texture to apply and didn’t feel sticky on the skin and left my lips significantly softer and smoother.
The Lanolips range also features tinted SPF lip tints and is available in larger Boots stores and online. With prices in the range starting at £8 though, it might be a bit pricy for some. You are paying for quality ingredients and very cute packaging though, so I think as a treat or gift, it’s lovely! I think it’s one of those items that could quickly become an essential!
Do be aware that some people can be sensitive to lanolin, so bear this in mind before shelling out!
