Another awesome find from the Vitality Show was Nourish skincare. First off, I was really impressed by their stand, it was colourful, graphic and full of lovely products and amazing staff. As I have mentioned online, sadly, a lot of exhibitors at the show didn’t have much time for bloggers or press, they were only interested in selling and not just talking about the products and giving information. This was annoying, but for Nourish, it just made them look EVEN better than they did at first glance.
After a few minutes on the stand, the marketing manager for the brand greeted us and was fascinated to hear more about our blogs, then introducing us to brand founder, Dr. Pauline Hili, who used to work for Neal’s Yard. What an honour. The whole team were enthusiastic about the range and keen to share their knowledge and vision with us, this made me very happy. They sat us down on a cute, bright pink wooden bench and explained the whole Nourish Skincare concept to us. Oh the joy!
As with most skin care ranges, there is a collection for each typical skintype: mature, dry, combination and sensitive. However, as the team explained the range also outlines the fact that in certain times of your life, your skin changes and you should adjust your skin care accordingly. So for example, if you have a break out, you would switch one of your products to a combination skin product to help calm things down.
For anyone who knows me, it won’t surprise you that my first thoughts were WOW, I love the branding! The stand, the marketing materials and the products themselves. So, naturally I had my fingers crossed that the products would be as good as they looked.
The lovely Dr. Pauline, sent me home with two products from the apple range, which is aimed at combination skin, as I explained about my recent breakouts due to stress and I loved the apple scent.
I have been sampling the Nourish Balance Apple Intense Face Gel and the Nourish Balance Apple Moisturiser. Each skin concern in the Nourish Skincare range, is colour coded and fragrance coded, which I also love. It makes identifying your skincare needs simple and fun.
I was excited to try the Intense Face Gel as it contains Hyaluronic Acid and I have recently run out of another serum I was using with this wonder ingredient in, so hoped that this could be a nice replacement. This product is a clear gel, very light weight, it also contains Aloe Vera, which we all know is a lovely soothing ingredient. It sinks in quickly and feels skin feeling instantly hydrated and soothed, without any residue. I have been using this before the moisturiser, as that would be my usual choice, applying thinnest product to thickest. Retailing at £15.95, it does seem a lot for a small bottle, but it’s a snip compared to my previous HA product of choice. I’ll let you know how long it lasts.
The Face Moisturiser has also delighted me, a nice rich consistency, which means a little goes a long way, but it doesn’t sit on the skin or feel heavy. It features Almond Oil and Sunflower Oil, which I would think is why it’s light weight. Plus, both products are beautifully scented of apple, delicious! This retails at £13.95 so affordable for a cool quality product.
Overall, really impressed with these products, they don’t sit on the skin, I’ve noticed a significant improvement in my skin after only a few days and love how they products sit under make up, it keeps my skin hydrated without making my make up slip or crease, almost like a primer effect.
I would highly recommend Nourish Skincare and I’m sure we are going to see a lot more of them in the future. Take a look at their beautiful website to find out more or to purchase.
What do you think? Have you heard of or tried this brand?
