My New Favourite Fragrance: Rosie by Orla Kiely

If you haven’t heard of Orla Kiely you are really missing out, her iconic 60s/70s inspired prints are delightful and she always chooses hues that you won’t see anywhere else. Orla’s fashion line has recently become a favourite with Kate Middleton and her homewares and bags can be seen across the high street.

This month Orla Kiely launched her second fragrance. I love the first one, mainly because the bottle was mega cute, but this new limited edition fragrance, Rosie is even better. Same cute bottle, but totally perfect for me.

As many of you will know, I am a sucker for beautiful packaging, check out the box! The colours are really unusual and printed on a beautifully textured matte cardboard.

The glass bottle, features the iconic Orla Kiely petal pattern and the top of the bottle features the limited edition colours. The mainline fragrance has a bright orange decor.

The reason I love this fragrance is that the key notes of the scent are two of my favourite things: rose and black pepper. Timeless, elegant with a touch of quirk with the peppery side. A touch of citrus give the fragrance a more modern feel which is perfect for the springtime (or anytime if you are me)

Unlike other rose based fragrances, I find that this one has a much better staying power, meaning you rarely need to reapply, plus it’s better value for money. It’s a lovely fragrance, really different but encompassing a lot of those traditional English scents that I personally love so much.

It’s officially overtaken my beloved Marc Jacobs Daisy and Jean Paul Gautier Classique as my daily staple!

Have you managed to try the Orla Kiely fragrance yet?

    1. Hi Karen, the original fragrance was in a orange coloured bottle like this one, I’m not sure if it’s gone now. This one I’ve reviewed was a limited edition, I believe they’ve put this scent in home fragrances but not sure if you can get it in perfume anymore. Look up KMI Brands and contact them, they may be able to advise as they used to make it.
