I love Twitter, I’ve made so many great friends and it’s been amazing for networking. The lovely Nic from Strawberry Blonde Beauty Blog, sent me this OCC Lip Tar to try after she reviewed it as it wasn’t the shade for her. I’ve been intrigued by OCC for quite some time, so was delighted to be offered the chance to try one. I sent Nic a box of my favourite tea as a thank you.
OCC stands for Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics, it’s 100% vegan and cruelty free, so right up my street. The Lip Tars are their signature product and come in a very wide range of bizarre and bright colours. This shade it a bright fuchsia pink and is called Anime, which is perfect for me as I love Japanese things and Anime is a type of Japanese animation.
The OCC Lip Tars were the inspiration for the Sleek Pout Paints, which I’ve reviewed previously and you will know that I love them. As with the Sleek Pout Paints, you only need the tiniest amount to get full coverage of bright, vibrant colour. I would advise that you use a brush to apply and not your finger, as the colour can stain. Applying with a brush will also allow for a precise application.
The colour is very long lasting throughout the day, however I would say that you need to apply the colour just inside of the lip line, as the colour will bleed slightly, so bear this in mind when applying. I love this colour, it’s quite similar to another favourite of mine, Centrifuchsia by Lime Crime. I would say they are very similar, but perhaps the OCC option is a little longer lasting as well as being a slightly glossier finish.
Overall, I am pleased to say that I am impressed and I will use this LOTS. I would also buy them for myself. You can pick up OCC at specialist make up shops and also online. This one originally came from the wonderful new web shop, CutECOsmetics, which I would highly recommend, they have a fab range and offer free postage.
Have you tried OCC Lip Tars? Which colour is your favourite?
