I’m very excited to introduce you to Premae, I met the creator Clare Eluka last week and was left fascinated and inspired. Clare suffers from Candida Albican, an allergy to gluten, sugar, dairy and wheat, which led Clare to pursuing a Vegan lifestyle to help her recover from her food intolerances. Leading on from this difficult lifestyle change, at the age of only 23, Clare started formulating skin care that suited her needs.
So, Premae has been developed by Clare as a allergen free cosmeceutical range, that is both cruelty free, organic and vegan. In between creating this range, Clare has also managed to be a English Teacher, Beauty Journalist and recently qualified as a beautician and allergy expert! I honestly, don’t know how she has the time!
Clare, recommended that I tried the Premae Supreme Balm, a moisturising balm formulated for dry and sensitive skin. The core ingredient in this balm is ethically sourced Ugandan Cocoa Butter.
The Face Balms come in small tins and they look like a solid lip balm in the tins, the products have a very hand made feel to them and are actually made at Clare’s small factory in Islington! The factory is also allergen free, making the Premae brand the perfect choice for allergy sufferers.
The balm texture feels very odd to put on your face, as it’s a texture we would associate with a lip balm, I was pleased to experience that it was not greasy and actually did sink in a little. The Supreme Balm creates a barrier for the skin to protect and soothe.
I’ve not used this during the day yet, but I am enjoying it immensely as a night moisturiser, leaving me with soft, supple skin by morning. I love the story behind Premae and love to use a product that I know is as natural as can be.
Premae was featured in She Said Beauty boxes this month, did you get one? Do you have any allergies?
