New Hair with Added Fringe

fringe1

I did it! After genuine years of wondering about getting a full fringe cut in, the help of Twitter, Facebook, friends and colleagues and the influence of the amazing Zooey Deschanel made me finally give it a go! I went to my local Toni & Guy and this is what it turned out like!

I love how they styled it, the fringe is perhaps slightly longer than I imagined, but I’d rather it was too long than too short, I can always have it trimmed if I don’t settle down with it. I love my hair colour at the moment too, my roots have started to come through though and I’m now pondering what to do next since this colour was an accident and I can’t really recreate it.

My favourite thing about my new hair cut so far is how it looks when I have my hair up, no more vast forehead and I can do this….

I think the hairdresser managed to get the Zooey Deschanel look just right for me, but with a nice blend of Sailor Moon in the mix too, what do you think?

Was it the right choice? What styling tips would you give me for my new fringe?

  1. Oh Jayne it’s SO sweet with that little bow! I can’t believe how different you look… I look younger with a fringe whereas you look, not older, but more ‘grown up’ if you know what I mean? It’s really lovely. I’m constantly debating whether to get mine cut back in & I hear you re the forehead. If mine was too long it did my head in – I liked it just touching my brows – any longer drove me nuts & I kept pushing it back.

My top tip is wash it under the tap with a smidge of shampoo every morning & blow dry it straight. 🙂

    1. Thanks Nic, love the tip too. I think I might get it trimmed a little bit shorter, but we’ll see how it goes. I also agree that I look older, I was a bit concerned about it at first, but I think it is more versatile like this. Can’t wait to play with the different things I can do with my hair now.

  2. Wow i LOVE it!!!! the bow looks so cute too, the fringe really suites you and with the loose curls and your wonderful porceline skin you look like a china doll.
