If you haven’t heard of Bodhi before, let me introduce you to this beautiful unisex range of natural bath, body and new skin care products. The name Bodhi, comes from the Bodhi tree, also known as the Tree of Knowledge or Tree of Life, directly translated it means to awaken or to understand. Created by Elijah Choo, who previously worked as a graphic designer in advertising, the range stems from Elijah’s own desire to use natural products after encounter skin conditions himself.
The packaging is bold, strong and distinctive with a range of fragrances to suit every mood or taste. Bodhi uses the finest natural ingredients and are naturally free from parabens, sulphates, phthalates, propylene glycol, PABA, palm oil, mineral oil, paraffin, petrochemicals, DEA, synthetic colours or fragrances and animal ingredients.
Last week I attended the launch of the first skincare product from Bodhi, Desert Rose Rejuvenating Facial Oil.
The event was held at Les Senteurs, a beautiful fragrance boutique near Marble Arch in London. The shop stocks a stunning range of quirky, niche and rare fragrance products and well worth a visit if you’re in the area. It was fantastic to meet Bodhi founder, Elijah Choo after meeting virtually on Twitter, super interesting to find out more about the brand from the creator and hearing about his travels to the Sahara desert.
The utterly lovely Dija from Dija’s World, who NEEDS to showcase her amazing personality on a YouTube channel pronto, experienced the Desert Rose Rejuvenating Facial Oil as a shoulder massage. I’m not going to go into much detail about the product just yet, as I’ll do a proper review soon when I’ve tried it properly myself.
The existing range of Bath & Shower Gels along with the moisturiser were on show to try out, the team offered hand and arm treatments for us to get the full sense of the products. The gels gently lather with the most amazing fragrances and the moisturisers need the tiniest amount to do the job and don’t feel greasy or heavy.
Here’s me in my new M&S owl dress trying out Rosemary Chi Reviving Bath and Shower Therapy from Bodhi. Photo thanks to the super lovely Yu from Let’s Make Yu Up and here’s one of her too…
It was a beautiful, relaxed and interesting event. I can’t wait to tell you more about the Bodhi products.
