This one is a beauty! I’ve been playing with a few products from New Cid this week, having not known much about them beforehand, this has been fun to discover. This is one of the New Cid i-Shadow Eyeshadow Quads, it comes in a good sized palette with two double ended brushes and a nice big mirror. I love it, such good packaging. I’m not a fan of the white and the branding, but the quality and size is perfect.
The New Cid quads are available in six colourways, this one is called Laguna and is just perfect for everyday looks and just the sort of colours I would use everyday too. I’m not going to attempt to describe the colours, because you can see them below. The quads come with two lots of double ended brushes, the usual weird spongy ones that no one really ever uses and the smudger/angled brush combo which is a nice change to see, this one I would use if I was on the go without a problem.
All of these colours have a pearl finish to them with a touch of metallic in some of the shades. The pink is great as it’s a good staple for easy eye colour, I love the silver colour, it’s very unusual and great for defining the crease. The two darker shades are more dramatic and would work well for a evening look, a chocolate twist on the smoky eye. I love the red toned brown, it’s quite frankly, delicious.
I flipping hate typical blogger arm swatches, I’d much rather show you these on the eyes, but I’ve been so busy lately, so I’m doing it for you! I’m really impressed with the quality of the pigment, you actually don’t need a lot of product to get a strong colour which is long lasting too. Overall, very impressed and would recommend. I really like the look of some of the other shades too. My only negatives are the white packaging and the naff name, it’s not an iPhone, it’s an eye shadow palette, but it doesn’t matter does it?!
Have you tried any New Cid products? What did you think?
Do you like these colours?
