I just LOVE the PR campaign that Revlon ran for this product with some of the top bloggers, it really caught my eye and if you didn’t see it, check out the tag #JBK. Basically, they send top bloggers bouquets of roses with a card signed off with nothing but #JBK getting everyone asking, what is this? Who is it from? Simple and genius. They then followed up by sending the product, which is basically exactly the same of Clinique Chubby Sticks, but a lot less money, everyone is doing it right?
So on my wanderings this week, I thought I would pick one up. I’ve not been tempted into the Clinique Chubby Sticks, but after that PR campaign from Revlon I thought I’d give them a whirl, the shade Crush, really caught my eye.
Same packaging as Chubby Sticks, might even have been made in the same factory, who knows?! Stupid name though, I know they are trying to carry on the Just Bitten sub brand, but really?! It’s a bit of a mouth full, however, that’s my only complaint on this product. Crush is a delicious deep berry red, a bit like a red wine shade and exactly what I’ve been looking for. I’ve been testing lipsticks in this shade for a long time, but haven’t invested because I find lipsticks hard to wear.
This one is a balm base, so super easy to apply and really moisturising. I was worried that the balm base might cause the product to slip around on the lips and transfer easily, however, this also combines a stain so once the balm has settled in you are left with a very long lasting stain, without drying out your lips. I absolutely love this shade on, what do you think?
Check out my new necklace that hubby bought me for my birthday too, it’s antique and I love it. Anyway, love this shade, it is easy to wear, comfortable and has maximum impact. I love it and I’m sure I’ll get lots of wear out of it.
Have you tried the Revlon Balm Stain? What did you think of the Clinique Chubby Stick?
Which lipsticks do you rate in this shade?
