I tweeted about this at the weekend as I was so surprised with it. I’m really not into body moisturisers, frankly because I can’t be bothered with the faff and don’t feel like I need to. However, because this one was from Nourish, which is a brand that I’ve been really impressed with I thought I best put my usual preferences to one side and give it a whirl in the name of being a good blogger.
The main ingredients in this ‘souffle’ or cream as I will call it are aloe vera, Argan oil and shea butter at its base. The sciency ingredients include peptides, phyto-marine extract (whatever that is) and hydraluronic acid. The cream claims to stimulate the production of collagen for smoother, softer skin. For those who are interested, this product is also 77% organic and made in the UK, a nice perk right?
The cream is fragranced with Frankinscense and Myrrh, so very festive right? It’s actually a really nice, warming scent for anyone who isn’t sure. It definitely smells like Christmas.
The extra special thing about this cream is the mineral derived gold shimmer which promises a healthy, sunkissed glow. When I read the sunkissed bit, I was not convinced, I don’t use fake tan and I’m proud of my paleness, so that did not appeal. However, having tried this now, it’s the light reflecting feature that’s special. Teeny, tiny particles of gold shimmer trick the eye into making skin look smoother and the skin tone more even. It’s so very pretty when it’s on.
The oil base of this cream makes it very lightweight and fast absorbing, so you don’t feel greasy like you do with some other creams. The shimmer is gorgeous, I just love it. The only problem is that it will transfer onto clothes, so be careful about that. It would make skin look amazing if you’ve got a skimpy outfit and need a bit of skin perfecting. It would also look amazing on a photoshoot too I reckon. Really, lovely product.
Have you tried anything from Nourish?
Do you use a shimmery body lotion or cream?
