Clinique Chubby Stick & Clinique Chubby Stick Intense Review

Oh dear, I think I’m quite obsessed with the Clinique Chubby Sticks now that I’ve been converted to the Chubby ways. On a regular day at least three of these can be found knocking about in the bottom of my bag, they are my new go to lip colour product, plus they offer enough moisturising quality to double as a lip balm too. I thought I’d show you my full collection with swatches too.

Do you think I have enough? Think you can read the names from the photo, but the top one is the new Chubby Stick Intense in Broadest Berry which is out later this month. My favourite shades so far are Boutiful Blush, Two Ton Tomato and Broadest Berry. But, to be honest, they are all lovely!

Here’s the swatches of the Clinique Chubby Sticks, from top to bottom we have: Chubby Stick Intense in Broadest Berry and the regular Chubby Stick in: Voluptuous Violet, Curvy Candy, Whoppin’ Watermelon, Mighty Mimosa, Two Ton Tomato and my favourite, Bountiful Blush.

I love these, they are chunky, but easy to apply, the classic Chubby Sticks offer translucent colour and lots of moisture, whereas the new Chubby Stick Intense offers a lovely cream colour with good lasting power. They screw up from the bottom too, so you get more than you think in them. I love how Kim at Clinique describes these, I think it’s the perfect description, she called them her ‘Mum Makeup’ because of how convenient and easy they are to wear.

I know there are lots of ‘dupes’ out there now, everyone is jumping on the chunky stick, crayon bandwagon and some of them are lovely, but in my honest opinion, I think everyone should try a Clinique Chubby Stick at least once.

Do you have any Clinique Chubby Sticks? Which is your favourite shade?

Which ‘dupes’ do you like?

  1. I haven’t tried the chubby sticks yet – but I am rather partial to the Laqa and Co Fat Lip pencils 🙂 They go on a dram and have a slight mint flavour and tingle to them 🙂

    1. I’ve got some LAQA&CO ones too, but sometimes find them a bit drying. The Chubby Sticks are more moisturising, like a tinted lip balm. I do love the LAQA&CO packaging though and the colours are amazing.

  2. I haven’t tried any of the new Chubby Sticks but I loved the old ones. Although, I’m aware these are brighter so they sound even better!

    1. They are just as amazing as the traditional chubby stick just with more colour, I really, honestly love them both. Great product and everyone should own a handful.
