Frosty Nails With Models Own Swatches

DSC_1945

There’s been tons of festive nail art going around this Winter, it’s been great fun. However, as you will know I’m totally pants at nail art, so decided to experiment with layering instead to create my Festive Nails.

I love blue nails, so started off with a coat of Filthy Gorgeous in Air Kiss, whilst still wet I dusted on a layer of Sugarpill Chromalust in the shade Lumi, whilst is a irridescent white, blue glitter, it’s similar to Illamasqua Pure Pigment in Beguile.

On top of this layer, I applied Models Own Juicy Jules, which is a holographic silver glitter, I wish this would do a solid layer of glitterbut it doesn’t without tons of coats. to pull this look together I finished the look with a coat of the amazing Models Own Indian Ocean, a sheer shimmer, which makes a great top coat.

The finished look is  three dimensional shimmer, which has a great icy look to it. I love it. The photo really doesn’t do it justice though, but I hope you can get a feel for the look.

I highly recommend Models Own Indian Ocean, it’s a super versatile shade that is great to experiment with, layered over almost any colour or texture, it completely transforms nail colour into something else amazing. Models Own are my favourite nail polishes at the moment and for £5 each, a utter bargain.

What nail combination did you wear for Christmas?

What do you think of this combination?
