The only experience of the Make Up Store that I have up until now, was walking past their shop on Carnaby Street, I’ve been in a couple of times, but not really tried anything. I was sent a few pieces to review, so that I could find out more about the brand. The first item I’m giving a whirl is a eye pencil in Gold Digger.
Packaging is standard, the usual matte black that is so typical of most make up brands. Anyway, I liked the name of this eye pencil, so was excited. Metallic gold has got to be something fun to play with. The lead is a standard size with a nice soft, rounded nib.
The texture is really creamy, smooth and soft, very easy to apply. And to boot, has some lovely metallic colour to it as well. The gold colour of this pencil is a nice warm shade, maybe a bit more bronze than copper? It doesn’t need much pressure to get this kind of pay off.
I think this shade would be great combined with greens, blues or browns and will probably suit most skin tones. I look forward to creating some interesting looks with it and sharing them with you very soon.
Have you tried anything from Make Up Store?
What’s your favourite gold item of make up?
