I would absolutely love to do more outfit posts, I honestly don’t know how the hard core fashion bloggers do it, as I find it so hard to find the time and/or a willing photographer the capture my outfits. I do have a tripod set up that I could use to snap outfits at home, but then it’s finding the right time and lighting. I really want to give it a go this year. So, until I get myself organised, I recruited blogger pal, Gemma from Flutter Sparkle to snap my outfit whilst we were at the Boots Press Day last week.
If you’ve seen me around, you will know that I have a think for red and blue combinations, so this outfit follows that style. I hope you like it! I love this new shirt from Gap, it’s amazingly 100% cotton and features an adorable cat print, which reminded me of Mui Mui. The fit is loose, boyfriend fit and buttons right up for the Mod look that I love so much. You can get this shirt in a number of other prints too, I think I need to get some more.
For added warmth, I wore a Orla Kiely x Uniqlo long sleeved printed top from the Heattech range, you can’t see it too much in these photos, but it’s just peeking around the cuffs. I love these Uniqlo tops as they are super slim fitting, warm and wash really well. And below, my beloved red leather Cambridge Satchel, the original satchel company and something I’ve been lusting after for quite some time. Mine came from Shopbop and it’s the perfect everyday bag.
These are my everyday ankle boots from Red or Dead, which is always my first choice when it comes to shoe shopping, they create quirky designs that are good quality and great value for money. We didn’t capture the heels on these, but they have a nice chunky curved heel and a R stamp on the ankle. I love the lace ups and find them so comfortable. You can still get your hands on these and they come in black too. I’m wearing them with my favourite tights, from Marks and Spencer. I always buy tights from M&S because they come in larger sizes for me and are good quality.
My skirt is a new find from Forever 21, a simple mid length jersey skirt in red and was only £5.50! I wasn’t sure I would get on with a jersey fabric as a bottom, but it’s so comfortable, I’ll certainly be going back for some more!
What do you think of my outfit?
