As I continue to mention, I’m pretty rubbish when it comes to styling hair, I wish I was better as I would love to be able to do vintage style up dos and waves. Last week I went to a Bumble and Bumble event with Smashbox and had my hair done in the most perfect style, all done with Bumble products and just some straighteners. Here’s some snaps from the event to show you, it was such a fun night!
Here’s me mid hair do, the stylist highly disapproved of my DIY fringe trim and dodgy hair dye job. In this photo my shade is Garnier Nutrisse Intense Copper.
Me and Aisling fooling around in shades at Ping Pong after the event. I stole Gemma’s shade and Aisling is wearing Prada, of course!
Check out the back of my head! You can see the excellent chunk of hair that I missed dying with my DIY dye job. Oops. But really, look at how amazing this hair straightener created vintage style wave is! Wish I could recreate this. But if I can’t even dye the back of my head I doubt I can style it.
Here’s my favourite Bumble and Bumble product at the moment, it’s a simple one and super easy to use so I can’t really do wrong with it. It looks scary in it’s fluro orange bottle, but never fear that’s just the colour of the plastic and not actually the product, because let’s be honest, that would be weird. It come in a handy pump bottle, which is easy to use and dispenses without any mess.
It’s a clear oil that feels lightweight and non-greasy. It has a lovely sweet scent a little like coconut. It contains a nourishing blend of Sweet Almond, Coconut and Safflower Oil and contains a UV filter and heat protection ingredients. You can use it on wet hair prior to styling or on dry hair to smooth and finish hair. I’ve been using it on my dry ends to smooth crispy ends! I use a lot of hair oils and this is the best one I’ve found so far. It’s not too heavy, so you have a smaller risk of a greasy accident. You only need a little too, so it will last you a long time. Really recommend this oil, it’s lovely.
