Ok, so this is something I thought would never happen! Me wearing American Apparel Disco Pants AND a crop top, in PUBLIC and not as a joke. Seriously, three months ago this is totally the type of outfit that would a.) terrify me and b.) would be the subject of ridicule from me and here I am now, wearing skin tight, flesh exposing outfits and feeling awesome in it. Totally mental.
I’m wearing American Apparel Disco Pants which I original tried on as a joke, because I thought it would be funny to tweet a picture of me wearing them, since everyone knows my feelings about leggings and disco pants (prior to the revelation) and then once I put them on I had to have them. They make me feel like Sandra Dee, that’s such a good thing.
My top was a complete bargain from River Island, it was only £10! Yay! I bought it because I needed something to wear with the Disco Pants and wanted to try something more fitted and out of my comfort zone. My necklace is an old favourite, from Lady Luck Rules Ok, who remembers them? They were my favourite jewellery brand for years, so sad when they closed down.
Here’s my new shoes too. I had some flat ones of these as a kid, I think everyone did right? I was never allowed heels so I couldn’t resist buying theses JuJu Jellies heels in clear plastic with silver glitter. They are pretty comfortable, but will rub a bit, so it’s be prepared for that if you’re in bare feet. Another thing for me, I would never wear shoes without socks normally.
My earrings are vintage glass grapes, I wear these loads and bought them from a antiques shop near Hampton Court Palace for about £3. I love them. My make up was completely done by the wonderful Andrew James MUA, who has been staying at my house over the weekend for his first visit. I let Andii do my make up how he wanted to, so actually got changed to match it. So, I’m now going to show you the make up and try to get him to remember all of the products that he used!
