That’s got to be my longest blog title ever. But it describes exactly what’s in this post, so that’s the important thing. I was very lucky this month to be invited to attend Lovebox festival as a guest of Panasonic, such an amazing opportunity and one of those things that makes me realise how lucky I am to be living the life that I am right now. Anyway, the whole day was in aid of promoting Panasonic’s new hair dryer which I’m going to be featuring in a separate post soon once I’ve given it a good whirl. In the meantime, here’s a little account of the day…
We headed to Shoreditch in the morning to have our hair styled at the fabulous vintage inspired hair salon, The Painted Lady on Redchurch Street. The salon is owned by the freaking amazing, Belinda Hay, the lady behind the first Style Me Vintage book, she did my hair for me, you can see her above. She is The Painted Lady by the way, the most amazing tattoos ever.
Belinda created one of her signature looks on me, 1940’s inspired Victory Rolls. To add texture and volume to work with she curled my hair first and did a super job of making my fringe look perfect with a great rolled, curve, which I just love. Then she carefully pinned and placed it into the iconic style.
I finished the look with a custom blue rose crown made by the fabulous Frankii Wilde, you can check out her shop By Frankii on Etsy. The crowns are made from foam flowers making them super durable. What do you think? My makeup is pretty much the same as yesterday’s post, but with bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie lip liner in Jazzed with lipgloss in Smooth Talker.
Here’s me with one of my blogger besties, Gemma from Flutter Sparkle….
Once I we got to Lovebox with met up with another bestie of mine, Sinead, who I work with, she couldn’t resist this photo moment…
And we saw this dude, who’s apparently a famous DJ, we also saw Kelis…
What do you think of my Lovebox look?
