Bleach Hair Care Launch

This week, I attended the launch of the Bleach London hair care collection at their mini salon in Topshop on Oxford Street. Bleach is a brand I’ve been following for a long time, I love their creativity with hair colour and they have clearly been at the forefront of some of the hair trends we’ve been seeing in the past few years: dip dye, ombre, pastels, dark roots…etc. This week they’ve finally launched their own brand into Boots stores and online. image

The Bleach Hair Care range features Washing Up Liquid (a colour fader), Silver Shampoo and Conditioner, White Toner, Dip Dye Kit and Total Bleach is awesomely on brand packaging that will no doubt stand out on the shelves in store, apparently some items hit the shelves early by accident and have already sold out!

In addition to the ‘practical’ Bleach London line up, there is of course, a fabulous range of fashion colours. Each colour has a conditioning base and therefore will be kind to the hair without any scary chemical smells. Here’s the full line up…

As with most fashion colours, these are only going to reach their full potential on naturally very light blonde hair or bleached hair, so it’s not going to be for everyone. However, if you’re a fellow red head like me, I’m sure the red and orange colours will work like the La Riche Directions colours to add a brightening tone to permanent hair colours within that spectrum. At only £5 each, I’m sure these will fly off the shelves! What do you think?

I tried to capture the wall of swatches, but it went a bit blurry 🙁

  1. When I saw the Bleach range in boots I was excited – it’s ace to see coloured dyes being made available in a more mainstream way. Others before like Crazy Colour and Directions are good but expensive and hard to source from shops and a specialist online type of thing. Bleach however have used their notoriety here to get into Boots where all us girls go. Not a bad thing! I was mainly excited about their silver shampoo and white toner as these days I just stay blonde and love anything with blue or purple toners in it… but I’ve since discovered the “toner” contains peroxide! EEK!

Don’t be afraid to bleach your hair though – just bleach, tone and trim the ends and it will be fine.

    1. Hi Lynne, I’m not sure, I’m not a shop. If you go and ask on the brand’s Facebook Page that would be your best bet. In the UK it’s stocked in Boots, so they might do international delivery. I wouldn’t recommend it though, there are much better things than this.
