If you live in London ans you like American food, you’ll know the name of The Diner. It’s a super hip chain of American inspired diners with a rock and roll vibe. The waiting staff are tattooed, pierced ans wearing band merch and they play awesome, upbeat rock music. There are a few of this chain now and the latest one has popped up smack bang in the middle of Spitalfields market.
I can’t go to The Diner without having a milkshake, this time I opted for Coconut flavour after it being recommended by a mate. This was lush, a vanilla base sprinkled with flake of coconut. Seemed lighter than others flavours I’ve had. You get tons for your money with these shakes too. Don’t drink it too far though, you’ll fill up too quickly.
Normally I opt for the Yankee Dog, a hot dog with pulled pork but this time I had a Hawaiian Burger, that comes with cheese, pineapple, bacon and shredded lettuce in a super soft sesame bun. Yum.
Even though it’s really not necessary, I had fries too, because they are awesome. The meal was great, even if the huge burger was so big it had to be taken apart to consume.
The service as always was super friendly if a little slow at time. However, the friendliness and awesome vibe of the place makes up for the sometimes slow service.
Have you visited The Diner?
