eBay is a vast collection of items across the world and I don’t know about you but navigating it and finding the gems amongst all the random stuff can be very challenging. This month, eBay has launched a new feature which I think will help us find those gems much quicker! Introducing, eBay Collections, a feature that reminds me very much of Pinterest it allows users to add items to themed collections in a Tumblr-esque layout that can be used as a visual wish list and as a way to inspire a community.
In partnership with eBay I’ve been playing with the new tool for a couple of months now and created some collections of my own within the Health & Beauty sector. You can check these all out here.
I wanted to do something a bit different with my collections, so I’ve tried to pick out unusual brands and bright colours that reflect my own personal collection. I’ve created a number of collections just around colour themes which I really enjoyed making, check out the collection of Purple Beauty treats for an idea.
The new eBay Collections feature also acts as a social network in its own right, allowing you to create a profile like you would elsewhere and follow other users and interact with their collections. It will be very interesting to see how this new tool develops and the difference it will make for eBay shops and sellers. It’s already allowed me to discover lots of cool new brands and shops within the eBay world.
What do you think of eBay Collections?
Have you tried it out yet?
