I’d normally review products seperately, but since these two new skincare items from Super Facialist by Una Brennan are made to use together, I thought it made sense to cover them in one post. Super Facialist is a brand that continues to impress me, it’s very affordable and easy to pick up in Boots and they have a lovely selection of products for a range of skin types and concerns.
The latest releases are the Facial Oils, which you can get in Neroli or Rose. At first glance you would expect these to be post cleanse treatments, but in actual fact these beauties are designed for a pre-cleanse treatment. You use the oil warmed in your hands before a cleanse to melt away oil, dirt and impurities as well as enjoying they lovely scents and other healing benefits, you then remove the oil with a warm, damp cloth before cleansing again. Neroli is a great oil for mood boosting as well as treating uneven skin tone and scarring. This blend also includes lovely things like avocado, borage and rosehip, at under £15 it’s a real treat.
On some occasions I have used this alone for cleansing, because let’s admit it, we don’t all have time to double cleanse every time. It does work on its own, although I found that my skin did definitely need a serum on afterwards to balance it out. For best results, try this with the Super Facialist by Una Brennan Vitamin C+ Skin Renew Cleansing Oil.
This cleansing oil is very similar to many that I’ve tried, you apply to a dry face to melt away into the skin and then add a little water to emulsify before removing with a warm, damp cloth. It might sound like a lot of fuss to cleanse with but really it’s totally worth it. My skin has been in much better condition since I started using cleansing oils and balms over wipes or foaming cleansers.
