Now then, how adorable do these look at first glance? I’ve not tried too many things from Too Faced, so was delighted when this beaut landed on my doorstep. This is one of the new liquid lipsticks from Too Faced and what I would see as their take on my beloved Lime Crime Velvetines.
Love the vintage inspired packaging, with cute fonts and gold detailing on the packging, just lovely.
Much like a a lipgloss, these have a angled applicator with a sponge covering, the squishy tube means you can squeeze out every last drop. I love the matte finish of the plastic too, makes it seem more premium, don’t you think?
As with the the Lime Crime Velvetines, these lippies go on liquid and dry matte. This one has more of a creamy texture than Velvetines, but it’s still super smooth and easy to apply, however I would prefer to apply with a lip brush for precision with such a bold and pigmented product.
This colour is totally not what I would normally reach for, it’s a almost pastel coral shade and something that I would usually see as more suitable for warmer skin tones, however, I’ve been wearing this lots. It’s pretty unique. I love the matte finish, it makes it even more special for a coral shade, it is long lasting, but not as long lasting as Velvetines. I feel they are a little drying, but I think it’s difficult to make matte not drying.
Here is in on a make up look I wore a few weeks ago, the green liner is a Kiko Life in Rio chunky pencil that I’ll review separately very soon.
What do you think of Too Faced?
What’s your favourite matte lip product?
