Last week I was lucky enough to be invited to the AW14 preview for one of my favourite high street stores, Urban Outfitters. I’m still a rookie when it comes to writing about fashion events, as I don’t get invited to many, so I think I will mainly let the pictures do the talking. Overall, there’s some really awesome pieces coming both from Urban Outfitters own brands and brands that they’ve bought in. Here are my highlights…
Love this soft tartan coat with shearling collar, it’s quite a boxy shape so not something I would personally wear, but it was super strokeable.
I’m on the look out for some perfect denim, long dungarees, these ones are pretty special. They have a star print bleached into them and look like a easy, slim fit. All the ones I’ve seen so far are either too skinny or too baggy. These are definitely on my wishlist.
This 60s inspired leatherette dress is rather special, it’s a super bright cobalt blue with a very details white embroidered detail. The short shape makes me think 1960’s but the embroidery makes me think of Almost Famous, Penny Lane 1970’s style. So cool. My photo does not do it justice, so look out for this one for sure!
Rainbows! There were to rainbow inspired pieces that caught my eye from brand, Lulu & Co, this jumper was a fave, it features a towelling rainbow motif in rich, jewel hues. Very retro.
Love these aztec printed fabric wrapped record players, it’s something that Miz is after at the moment and when these hit the stores I’d love to pick one up for him. I love the vintage suitcase vibe.
What has caught your eye in the AW14 Urban Outfitters collection?
