I’m feeling off my blog game lately, so thought I’d do something different and take things back to basics with a bit of beauty news instead. There’s so many new products coming out all of the time and thought it would be cool to just share the stories that have really caught my attention this month so far, let me know what you think!
O’Right RECOFFEE Recycled Coffee Range
I’ve not tried this range, but I’ve seen their unusual sleek packaging around which originally caught my eye. This new range from the eco-friendly brand launches this month and uses 100% recycled coffee grounds, sourced from cafes in Taiwain to stimulate hair growth and a healthy scalp, the rest of the ingredients are 98% natural. It’s a really interesting idea that sounds like it’s going to work wonders for those with slow growing or thin hair. In addition to the awesome ingredients the bottle itself grows into a coffee tree once planted and is 100% biodegradable, clever right? The O’Right range is also free from environ hormones, parabens, sulphates, phthalates, formaldehyde thickeners, colourants and EO derivatives.
The range features Moisturising Shampoo, Volumising Shampoo, Conditioner and Hair Oil priced from £17.25 from Harvey Nichols.
MAKE UP FOREVER comes to the UK
This brand originates from the States and has been around since 1984 and a leader in backstage make up for film and photography. Not much more is known, but it’s been announced that the range will launch into Debenhams too and they’ve got an awesome PR team behind them, so I’m sure they’ll be a hit!
New Bright Colour Range, Colour Freedom to launch in Superdrug
You know me and my love for bright hair colours, so it’s exciting to see a new bright colour brand on the block in the form of eight shades exclusive to Superdrug: Red Poppy, Truly Blue, Orange Sorbet, Silver Blonde, Magneta Dream, Crimson Red, Mystic Purple and Pink Pizazz. The formulas are enriched with Shea Butter and Argan Oil and coming in at only £6.99 for a good sized tube, I look forward to trying these for myself. They are also launching a Pastelizer that can be added to any colour to make it a pastel shade.
Brooklyn brand PLANT launch bodywashes in the UK
I’ve not seen this brand before, but their modern packaging and design caught my eye, mainly because they looked like some kind of hipster wood glue at a glance. Anyway, upon reading about this brand it was interesting to learn that this range uses just nine simple ingredients in formulas with fun, uplifting names and fragrances to match: BE WELL, WAKE UP, CALM DOWN, GET HAPPY and GET IT ON. In addition, the husband and wife headed brand is involved with helping people in their community too their products are made at a non-profit workshop in Brooklyn, New York by adults with disabilities – creating jobs and opportunities for this historically underemployed population. Interesting and one to watch for sure!
You can find it in Urban Outfitters, Selfridges and abeautifulworld.co.uk for a reasonable price of £12.50.
And there you go, my picks of interesting beauty news for this month so far.
