Simple make up with a base of Smashbox…

I’ve been on a mission of trying to use up all the foundations I own lately, I have too many and none of them are quite right. My base of choice lately has been Sleek Make Up BB Cream with Smashbox BB Cream Concealer. This week I’ve been testing the Smashbox CC Cream to go along with their fab concealer.

As always I prep my skin with a moisturiser, today it was Pai Skincare, instead of a primer I’m continuing to use the Bourjois Healthy Balance Powder as a base and finishing powder, I find this really makes my make up last longer.

Using my trusty Real Techniques brushes I’ve been buffing in Smashbox CC Cream, which has a really natural coverage without a lot of product, which is impressive. I’ve then been adding extra coverage and a touch of highlight with the Smashbox BB Cream Concealer which completes the base without an issues. The lasting powder of this base is great too, so no worries about retouching throughout the day. I’d say the fair shade was a good match for my pale skin, although does oxidise a touch, so may be too warm for some.

Revlon Brow Fantasy for my brows again for a natural look without much fuss. I used Illamasqua Courtier all over the brow bone and lid for a subtle, natural toned shimmer, I love this product more than I thought I would.

Lips today is this little number from Pur Minerals in shade A-Lister, this brand does lovely subtle lip products but always have slightly lame shade names. Anyway, this one is a sheer balm colour which feels great on and is enriched with WINE! It’s from their Château de Vine collection. It’s also paraben and gluten free. You can find this brand in selected M&S Beauty departments.DSC_4627 (600x399)Swatcheroos because I’m a good beauty blogger today, aren’t they lovely colours and textures?
