OMG! So much good beauty news discovered on Instagram last night! This one makes me so happy as it’s so lovely to see a quirky, non-mainstream brand win a big collaboration like this. I’ve been a massive Sugarpill fan for years and love the owner, Amy (aka Shrinkle) so much. On Monday (28th Sept) this (mostly) vegan, 100% cruelty free brand will be launching a limited edition to celebrate 25 years of Tim Burton’s classic film, Edward Scissorhands.
The collection includes a six colour palette with Edward Scissorhands graphics on the front and cute mirror inside and two nail polishes (the brand is new at nail polishes so this is awesome to see) each is named after something related to the film and the colour palette heavily inspired by the movie too.
They’ve done a nice mix of neutral and experimental colours and different textures too. The brand normally specialises in insanely bright, sparkly or experimental shades so it’s interesting to see something a little more toned down. However, they all work together to make for a interesting and versatile palette. The Inventor and Surburbia are catching my eye are a particularly quirky duo that I want to play with. What do you think?
The nail polishes also look beautiful, named after some of the eyeshadow colours: The Inventor and Ice Angel. They’re also fairly versatile shades that I think a lot of people would love. A grey with silver shimmer and a sparkly, snow particle inspired top coat.
The limited edition collection launches on Monday 28th Sept on their U.S main site, there’s rumours of some UK stockists picking it up but I’ve seen no confirmation or date just yet, so hopefully it’ll arrive on our shores. If you’re desperate for it though I’d risk the tax and shipping costs and get in online on Monday as I’m sure it’ll be popular with existing and new Sugarpill fans. Very interesting to see them do something a little more toned down than normal, but I think it’s a great fit for a collaboration for them. All pics were taken from their Instagram account so head over there to see more.
