Beauty News: Rocky Horror Picture Show 40th Anniversary Nail Collection from Gelish and Morgan Taylor

OMG! OMG! Just stumbled upon this and did a mini freak out. I have no idea how I haven’t seen this sooner. As some of you may know, cult musical The Rocky Horror Picture Show is celebrating 40 years this year and is back on tour in theatres as the live show. I’ve been a fan since being a teenager. As is the fashion at the moment, here’s another beauty collection to celebrate!

The collection features three colours and a GLOW IN THE DARK top coat, how cool is that? The colours are pretty standard and I’m surprised that there’s no glitter and they haven’t gone very themed with the names, so not sure it’s as exciting as it first seemed. The colours include: All White Now (bright white), Pretty Woman (red crème), and Little Black Dress (black crème).

In true Morgan Taylor style, their also pairing up with Gelish for some of their Two of a Kind duos so that you can have a matching polish to top up your gel mani.

So yea, pretty exciting at first glance thanks to the awesome Rocky Horror packaging. The glow in the dark top coat sounds like loads of fun and definitely something I’d like to play with. Otherwise, the rest of the collection is pretty standard and lacking the themed names.

Anyway, if you’re interested they’re out today and available exclusively from Salon Services and Sally and should be around a tenner for an individual polish.

  1. I love the glow in the dark idea but Rocky Horror is all about the colour red and masses of glitter! As you say, the names aren’t very Rocky Horror either.

  2. I love the packaging, but thought the colours wold be limited editions specially created for this collection – they’re not 🙁 Also, white?!? Get the feeling someone put the collection together from only seeing the lips picture – not someone who was a fan.

    1. 100% agree, it’s been a last min thrown together thing based on the graphics for sure. A true fan would definitely include more glitter, a Columbia rainbow glitter? Frankenfurter’s lipstick red? Metallic silver for the floor show Magenta and Riff Raff costumes? So much potential gone to waste.
