#IndieLove – Oh Deer Sugar: Australian Based Bath & Body Bakery

Another brand that I’m not sure how I stumbled upon, I think I found them on Instagram originally and totally dug their concept. Oh Deer Sugar is an Australian based brand run by two vegan friends Shani & Nikki and they’ve been baking up non-edible bakery goods since 2013. They now have an Adelaide based store, a totally divine Instagram account and an online shop that normally offers international delivery.

CutECOsmetics have been part of my life for quite a long time now. I knew the original owner very well, helped with odds and ends and they are now one of my oldestĀ freelance clients and a brand that is extremely close to my heart. They’re a husband and wife team who stock the best indie, cruelty free, vegan and eco friendly beauty brands from around the world. Great products, excellent speedy customer service and you’re supporting a family business too. Awesome.

#IndieLove Day 2 – Marshmallow Blends Handmade Bath & Body Treats

Ok, so if you know me you know I’ve got a bit of a love/hate relationship with Lush, there’s probably some posts about it on here somewhere, but yes, personal experiences of working there and conflict of morals mean that I’m always on the look out for alternatives to Lush, because at the end of the day handmade soaps and bath bombs are always going to capture my attention, some of my first beauty shopping memories revolve around buying handmade soap from market stalls at craft fairs when on day’s out with my parents.

So, Marshmallow Blends has been on my radar for a very long time, as it’s owned by an ex-beauty blogger. Some of you might remember (or know in real life) Nicoletta Blog’s, who was one of the first bloggers I ever worked with at my first ever beauty marketing jobs about 4/5 years ago and I’ve followed her ever since. Special shout out to tsunimee too for making stuff happen in my early days of blogger outreach professionalism.
