Whether you’re jumping on a plane for your next adventure or just need a way to organise all the crap in your bag, a good cosmetics bag is a useful accessory. When going through airport security, I always find it super useful to keep all the liquid and bits that need checking separate to the […]
I had this idea of writing the definitive guide to buying enamel pins online from indie illustrators and designers. Then, I realised that might be impossible considering the sheer, massive amount of enamel pins in the world right now. Low cost, easy to store and an ideal format for any artist working in illustration, it’s […]
There are some things that are purchased for fun or pleasure. There are many things are purchased because they are necessary. An essential tool for freelancers, digital creatives or anyone who needs daily access to a laptop are decent practical and sturdy laptop bags and sleeves. However, it’s a bit like shopping for swimwear off […]
Looking for a gift for a Back to the Future fan? It only seems fitting that we follow Miz’s epic Complete Guide to Time Travel Movies with another time travel, movie related post. If you grew up in the 80s or 90s, the Back to the Future franchise probably gives you all kinds of feels. […]
Twitter tells me it’s #NationalPizzaDay, I’m guessing that’s a UK thing and goodness knows who decided that such a day should exist. However, as a lifelong pizza advocate, it would be dumb for me to not want to acknowledge it, somehow. The ultimate comfort food, the one food that seems somehow impossible to completely screw […]
I love Etsy so much. It’s such a great platform for indie and small brands and creatives to get started with a business in a professional and efficient way. There are SO many talents on there too and an incredibly community around the world too. One of the gazillion talented people on Etsy is Brighton dweller, Toby who is the bright spark behind I Like Cats.
There’s a discount code at the end if you can make it that far?!
Ok, so the blog has been a bit slow of late. I’ve been pondering a lot of things and trying to figure out my next direction. I’ve written some articles about it, but I haven’t published them anywhere just yet. So, I felt like I could use this space as a way to promote indie brands, shops, creators…etc, just like I used to so often back in the day. Creativity is important to me, being creative is hard work and having a creative business is even trickier.
This is the sort of post I used to love doing on a regular basis and over the years has dropped off. Although I don’t shop much, I do love looking and love discovering beautiful, unique and quality designed products in almost any category. So, hopefully you’ll see more of these posts as I go back to basics and back to blogging what I like, when I like. Today, I’ve got some picks of some adorable day bags, I’ve been in need of a replacement for my current day bag ever since I was sick inside of it. TMI?
As any self-proclaimed nerd will know, it’s the première of the latest instalment of Star Wars TONIGHT! I grew up on these films, remembering watching the original trilogy with my parents on VHS recorded off the TV from sometime in the 80s, complete with vintage advertisements from Woolworths and Fry’s Turkish Delight and stored in a classy faux leather bound book case. At primary school and at high school I got teased for being such a nerd, until it got to a stage that guys thought it was pretty rad that a girl knew so much about Star Wars. Anyway, whether you’re a fan or not there is SO MUCH MERCH about right now and I thought I’d share an edit of some bits that might be a little less obvious.
