Cakewalk Vintage and Handmade, Ilkley, Yorkshire

Just wanted to write a little blog about this lovely hidden gem in the lovely town of Ilkley. Cakewalk is situation is what I imagine is a converted house, tucked away behind Ilkley train station, at 7a Station Road.

It is a beautiful little treasure trove of a shop, stocking unusual vintage accessories and curios. Cakewalk also stock a wide range of wares from local and national crafts people and artists and items at a wide price range, there is something to suit everyone!

They have recently started a Facebook  page which I would love to draw your attention too as I think they would love your support, they are also planning an expansion, of which they will be celebrating on the 9th October with an event where you can meet the makers and enjoy free tea and cakes. I’m sad to say I won’t be able to make this event, but I urge all you craft and vintage lovers to pop along and discover this beautiful place!

The owner of Cakewalk is also involved with organising  and promoting a number of local crafts fairs, so definitely worth checking out for that reason too!
