The lovely Rebecca McWattie of Stop Traffic Clothing dropped me an email this weekend to offer my lovely fans an exclusive insight into her shop and a very kind 10% discount code for you all to use on her site, which stocks a vintage inspired range from the likes of Bettie Page, StopStaring, Miss Fortune, Anna Lou and Helen Rochefort. So if, like me you’ve had your eye on something in one of those ranges, https://neurontinbio.com/ now is your chance to get that much-needed little discount, so you won’t feel so guilty for spending! Above is the Bettie Page dress I’ve had my eye on for years, you can buy it from Rebecca’s site! Here’s a little interview with Rebecca about how her shop was born and what you can expect from her ranges.
How was Stop Traffic Clothing born?
Out of my love for classic movie icons of the 40’s and 50’s, especially the more tailored look adopted in many Hitchcock movies.
What did you do before Stop Traffic Clothing?Â
My first love is writing, I started writing screenplays aged 19, and I’m still hoping to see my work on the Big Screen one day! I am currently a contributor for The Vintage Guide to London and the Period & Vintage Fashion Expert for Vintage Allies U.S. I would love to write a play soon, maybe revive an old Hitchcock movie.
Who is Stop Traffic Clothing for?
Women of all ages, shapes and sizes! The great thing about classic clothing styles is the way they flatter all figures. We were conscious that many younger women liked the classic look but wanted something a little shorter so we try to always stock a wide variety of skirt lengths and styles.
What is your current favourite item on the site?
I’m happy we now stock Stop Staring! & just treated myself to the Vintage Allure pink satin polka dot swing dress. My favourite accessory would have to be the ‘Eat Me/Drink Me’ handbag by Helen Rochefort.
What’s next for Stop Traffic Clothing?
As a qualified event planner I would love to do more events. I will be showcasing our range at the launch of ‘Coquette’ at Kettner’s on April 9th, a glamorous afternoon of pampering & dressing up, we are also going to be working with the Powder Room Soho, and would love to be involved with Vintage at Southbank this summer.
