Pastel Nails with PixiGLOW and Barry M

I love my pastel nails, always my nail colour of choice. As you know, I recently attended a press event at Pixi, one of the items that I haven’t featured yet is the nail polish. I’m really not into pink, especially pink nail polish, so I thought the best way to test this one would be to just do one finger in this shade. So I decided to team it with my favourite Barry M pastel Mint Green.

The PixiGLOW nail polish is very pretty, it’s a bright pastel pink, which comes out also neon. The prettiest thing is that is features a very fine gold glitter, that gives the polish a subtle shimmer, the polish also dries mostly matte, which adds to the unusual shade of the polish. Here it is in action….

It is VERY pretty and I love the bottle. Sadly, I just don’t think the colour is for me. I would wear it this style again, but don’t see me sporting this shade on every nail.

What do you think of this combo? Do you like the PixiGLOW nail polish?

  1. Oooh, this looks really pretty, it reminds me of my fave Lime Crime lippies, Mint to Be and Great Pink Planet!

I know this is off topic, but I saw on instagram that you reupholster’d a chair with Navy and White swallow fabric, I would just like to say that I loved it and I think it would look really sweet if you added some mini Blue and White bunting along the top of the chair.

You’ve certainly inspired me to brighten up my own little Kitschen when I move out!

By the way, could you pretty, pretty please do a post on your Makeup and Nail collection and storage? I love your blog and I’d love too see all the products you use. ^.^ xxx

    1. Thanks so much for your super kind comment. So pleased that you like my blog! Pleased that you like my chairs too, I would love the add bunting to them, but I think that would make them too girly, don’t think hubby would like that. Yes, the colours are SO like Lime Crime colours. I think you’d be surprisingly disappointed with a make up/nail polish collection post, as, believe it or not, I really don’t have that much! I will see what I can do though.

I really love getting blog comments, so please comment as often as you can, you can also tweet me @JayneJRead

  2. I think they’re both lovely colours, and while the two together isn’t perhaps an everyday pairing, I think you could get away with them on their own any day!

    1. Hehe, I wore that to work for a week. I like my quirky combinations though. I don’t like the pink on it’s own. Thanks for the comment.

      1. And that’s what makes you unique!

  3. Oh lovely. I’ve been a big fan of pastels for a while and I have quite a collection, mainly Barry M. The Pixi Glow is lovely.

    1. Just tweeted a giveaway for the Pixi polish as I doubt I will use it again, take a look and RT if you would like to enter. Thanks for the comment.

  4. Love Pixi nail polish- that’s a gorgeous one! They last so long.

    1. This is the only one I’ve tried so far, I wasn’t a fan of the pink so I’ve passed it on to a good home now.
