Tuesday this week so much fun, although mega busy! I was working in London in the afternoon and then after a little walk through London, I popped along to the Kiehls and Shu Uemura press event to see what was coming out in the coming months. Here’s my snaps and a little bit of info for you. For those who are wondering, the reason why Shu Uemura and Kiehls were part of the same event is because they are both part of the L’Oreal group.
Kiehl’s Aromatic Collection: Fig Leaf and Sage
Kiehl’s Aromatic Collection, available in four new fragrances, includes a fragrance mist, body lotion and body cleanser. The body lotion is a scented version of their ever popular Creme de Corps and the body cleanser a ingredients rich moisturising body wash which is also sulfate free. I love the fragrance bottle, it’s beautiful.
Kiehl’s Aromatic Collection: Sandalwood and Vanilla. The vanilla in this range has been grown on a farm in Uganda that was set up as a project by Kiehl’s, it’s a fairtrade farm. Due to the soil that the vanilla is grown in it has a fragrance that is unique to Kiehl’s Ugandan vanilla, it’s not sweet or sickly like traditional vanilla, but instead, rich and warming. Super interesting!
Kiehl’s Aromatic Collection: Pink Grapfruit and Nashi Blossom, inspired by Japan. Possibly my favourite in the range.
Kiehl’s Aromatic Blends: Orange Flower and Lychee inspired by Moroccan tea and cakes. This was super interesting, because Lychee’s don’t have a fragrance, the perfumers devised a fragrance that represented the flavour and experience of eating Lychees, the result is deliciously rich and juicy. This one reminded my of Paul Smith’s Floral fragrance, I love it!
These are the new Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited Lipsticks that are out now, retailing at £20. I love the space age packaging and there are some gorgeous colours in a range of finishes.
I so need to try some Shu Uemura eyeshadows, I was particularly intrigued by their new glitter collection which feature three different textures: silky smooth, creamy and pressed glitter and range of colours. I just wanted to play with them all. These launch on the 1st July, so many beautiful colours!
Shu Uemura lashes, because they are the best!
The iconic and ever popular Shu Uemura eyelash curlers are also back in gold by popular demand!
It was a lovely event, thank you to the team for organising such a interesting event, sorry I couldn’t stay longer but I had to rush off to meet the team from work, we had a trip to the theatre to see Jersey Boys, which was excellent. I was very pleased to finally get to meet Gem Fatale at this event, I can confirm she’s as gorgeous, stylist and friendly in real life as she is online.
What do you think?
