My Current Skincare Routine

Thought you would like to read about my current skincare routine, since I’m getting on pretty darn well with it at the moment, despite using a whole mix of brands and types of products. I’ll give you a little lowdown on what I think to each product as well, although most of them I have already reviewed before.

I’m using LP Skin Therapy, Nourish, Shu Uemura, Premae, Pai and Xylem. I have managed to identify the best use for each product and have now fallen into a nice routine. I’m sure there are some other products out there that I would love, but I’m keen to be a sensible blogger and use things up before I buy or try anything new.

Here’s my morning skincare routine…

If I’m feeling that my skin is feeling a bit dull I like to use Pai Kuki and Jojoba Exfoliator, which goes onto dry skin and emulsifies with water for a really refreshing, gentle exfoliation which leaves my skin feeling super soft. Then I’ll use Nourish cleanser, which is a creamy gel cleanser which helps freshen me up, I’m using the Apple range which is aimed at balancing skin. A spritz of LP Skin Therapy Uplifting Facial Water wakes me up and puts me in a good mood with it’s Orange Blossom fragrance. Nourish moisturiser is great for underneath make up, as it’s not too heavy, I feel it really helps to create a matte base to apply make up too. If I’m feeling like I need an extra boost I will use the Nourish Intense Face Gel for extra hydration. I’ve been using Xylem eye cream day and night for months now, it’s expensive but you need the smallest amount and it really works.

In the evening, I’ll have lots of make up to remove and find that Shu Uemura Skin Purifier is the quickest way, it’s an oil which you apply to dry skin, when you add water it’s easy to remove all of your make up. For the second cleanse, I use LP Skin Therapy System Balance Face Wash, which is a foaming cleanser that softens my skin and removes the last bits of make up. If I remember I will give a spritz of Nourish toner to freshen up. I’m loving Premae’s Supreme Face Balm as a night cream, it’s a mango butter balm base which really feeds the skin, I find it too heavy for the daytime but it’s perfect for overnight replenishment. Again, Xylem eye cream finishes the routine.

Have you tried any of these products? What is your regular routine?

  1. I have had a Shu Uemura oil for a while now, and I love how quickly and easy it removes makeup, even stubborn mascara, however, I can not seem to avoid getting the oil in my eyes and ending up with blurry vision still even the next morning! He he might seem silly, but I would love to know how you avoid the blurry-vision dilemma??

    Ellie xo

    1. Ellie, I get this too, but I don’t think it’s avoidable, best thing to do would be just to rinse with lots of water.

  2. Love this post! It’s the cyber equivalent of looking through someone’s bathroom cabinet 😉 Pai really are skincare superheroes – they also form the basis of my skincare routine. Love them!

    1. I SO need to try more Pai skincare, it’s amazing. Don’t think you’d want to see my bathroom cabinet as it is, full of lady products and less glamourous hair removal products.

  3. id love to try thr shu uemururreeeuueueuee (thats how i say it 🙂

    1. I have only recently decided how to pronounce the name, I THINK it’s Shoo Ooo-Mura, but I might still be super wrong. I love the packaging and the cleansing oils and super great value for money & remove make up really quickly with little mess.
