Ogario London Haircare Review

I was excited to give another little known hair care brand a trial last month, I was sent sample pots of the whole range. Ogario is a new haircare line developed by a beautiful boutique salon of the same name based in Islington. The range was designed to offer hard working products that work that use the finest naturally derived ingredients and a range that the salon would be happy to use daily on their clients.

Here’s part of the line up, I’m not going to review each item individually, as I was impressed with the range as a whole and would like to write you a nice concise review that tells you the facts. I’m also trying out a new review style, so please let me know what you think of the following break down style.

Key Facts

A range of performance hair products that use natural derived ingredients to nourish hair and to leave it in healthy condition. Rich in Pro Vitamin B5, proteins and essential oils. Created by a hair salon that has been established for 20 years.

The Good

Cruelty free, natural, well packaged, pleasant branding, easy to use consistencies, good smells, performs very well.

The Bad

Expensive (£18.50 for a conditioner), not widely available

My Thoughts

I honestly loved every product in the range, the textures were good and easy to use. The shampoo is a thick gel consistency, similar to Naked shampoos and the conditioner is really rich and thick. The masque is super thick too, I found it was a bit tricky to distribute through the hair (but a Tangle Teezer helped) but once rinsed out it made my hair super soft and manageable. I love that the Revive and Shine range includes Rooibos (my favourite sort of tea) and Baobob Oil (which comes from a tree nicknamed The Tree of Life).

I reckon this is one of the best haircare lines I’ve tried recently and I am planning on purchasing a set once I’ve used up what I have.

Where to Buy

The range costs between £14.50-£26.50 and is available online at Ogario London as well as in their Islington salon.

  1. I have been a hairdressing client of Norris Ogario for many, many years. He is a totally hands-on hairdresser and developed the products based on the needs of the real women who use his salon. They have been a long time in development – but I think he’s found a sure-fire range now. I agree they are expensive – but they last for ages – much longer than conventional shampoos etc. And for me they really are worth it!

    1. Thanks for your comment Kate, so lovely to hear from a client of the salon. I absolutely love the products, I’m totally going to pick up a few items when I next need shampoo.
