After a weeks worth of mainly make up posts, I thought I would come back with a skin care review. I decided to pick up something from the Good Things range last week. Good Things is available in Boots and is a skincare range designed specially for younger skin by award winning beauty journalist Alice Hart-Davis. I’ve had super troubles with my skin lately so I’ve tried to cut down on the complicated skincare, so I’m trying to stick with mild formulas. Good Things is free from silicones, sulphates, mineral oils, animal ingredients and parabens so a good place to start for me.
The Good Things Five Minute Facial Face Mask is based on the concept of super fruits and contains extracts of Goji Berry, Blueberry, Avocado and Willow in a Kaolin clay base. It smells amazing, a really fruity berry scent, which is just yummy.
I really like the texture of this, it isn’t too thick or gloopy, it actually reminds me of the REN mask that I’ve been trying. The smooth texture is really easy to apply and you don’t need much to do the job so I imagine it will last a good amount of time. You leave it on for five minutes, it will dry and go tight and then you wash it off. I used a damp flannel to remove it as it’s easier. Whilst on the skin I found it a bit tingly and once removed it left my skin soft and smooth. I’m going to keep using this to see if it can help my problem skin in the long run.
Have you tried Good Things? What other products would you recommend?
What’s your favourite face mask?
