Today I’ve been browsing Harvey Nichols in Knightsbridge, I visited the brand new Beauty Mart concession and browsed the food hall. Beauty Mart was interesting, but it was the food hall that really got me excited and inspired this time.
This month I’ve been enjoying the Food Network and one of my fave shows, Ace of Cakes. Ace of Cakes is a fab documentary showing what goes on behind the scenes of super cool Baltimore based cake bakery, Charm City Cakes. I love the team at Charm City Cakes, they are all best friends and super geeky and fun. I want to work there.
Whilst in the foodhall I was pleased to see that head chef and owner of Charm City Cakes, Duff Goldman has brought out his own range.
The range which is available in Harvey Nichols Food Hall features two cake mix sets: a Confetti Cake Mix and a Cake Pop Set. All the packs feature head chef, Duff looking super cool and a graffiti style logo, I love it, it make baking appeal to a different audience and reflects the Charm City Bakery brand perfectly.
There’s also two types of pre made icing in the range in a range of fun, bright colours. The packaging is also super cool. You can pick up writing icing….
…and a pack of chunkier icing which I imagine would be suitable for topping cupcakes or cakes, I love the pack too, looks like you could easily pipe straight from the bag.
I love this range, I would love to give them a good and see if the quality lives up to the branding and design.
Do you watch Charm City Cakes?
