Good Things Face the Day Moisturiser Review

So, as some of you may know, I’ve had major skin problems over the past year or so. I’ve invested in some very high end skin care which has been working wonders, it was getting a bit expensive, so I thought I would try out a cheaper alternative when it came to a day cream, as I wasn’t looking for anything fancy there. I just wanted a easy, pleasant, basic face cream for under make up and I reckon this one is just what I wanted for now.

Good Things was developed by renowned beauty journalist Alice Hart-Davies and is predominately aimed at a younger, teen market. The range holds a very appealing free from stamp, being free of parabens, SLS’s, mineral oils and animal ingredients, which appeals to me greatly. On top of the Alice Hart-Davies link, the packaging really catches my eye, it’s different to what’s already out there and has a sense of fun & girly without being pink!

The whole range is based around the ideas of superfruits too, which again is super appealing. This moisturiser is focused on Goji Berry and Papaya. The scent is very fruity, which isn’t something I would usually be bothered with but it does make it enjoyable to use.

It’s a very thick texture, but once applied it’s not greasy and absorbs straight away, which is very convenient in the busy morning. I wear this with Hydraluron underneath for added hydration. I don’t think this moisturiser works any miracles, but you can’t expect miracles from a bargain brand.

So, if you are looking for a simple, easy to use moisturiser that doesn’t use any nasties, I would say this is a good one to reach for. I also really like their Five Minute Facial Face Mask too, the whole range looks appealing to be honest.

  1. I love Good Things. Their Miracle Mattifier cream saved my face from turning into an oilslick over the summer.

It is a wonderful range for teens and older people who need something light. I wish that a brand would create a range aimed at teen boys who also need good skincare.

  2. I’ve been very tempted by this range; I think once I start to run out of other products, I might try these! I also like that they seem to get generally positive reviews!

    1. I don’t think you should read my blog Steph, you’ll spend all of your money! But yes, it’s a nice range. Well worth a try.
