Hooray for newness! After my post about the new launch from Boots brand, Seventeen, I’m pleased to be able to bring you a review with a good old swatch of one of the shades. SO yes, as mentioned in my previous post, this is the latest nail trend, which began with the Nails Inc Concrete Nail Polish late last year. In March this year, rebranded Boots range, Seventeen are launching their take on the matte, textured nail trend.
So, this is the imaginatively named shade, Blue. It’s a very strange polish to apply as it applies like a normal polish with a slightly thinner texture. As the pack suggests it works best with two coats. As it’s drying the texture then begins to reveal itself. It’s a matte, textured finish, similar to the caviar manicure but with a finer texture. Or, you could compare it to the texture of paint on the walls.
Application is easy, it dries fairly quickly and I’m quite surprised to say that I actually really like the finish. It’s something a bit different but without being showy. The shade is a great dark navy, which I really like and will get a lot of wear from. There’s four shades in total and will cost only £3.99, pick them up in Boots stores and online from the 21st March.
What do you think of this effect?
Will you be picking them up in March?
