I’m totally in a lipstick mood at the moment. Usually my make up is all about the eyes, I love eyeliner flicks and experimenting with bright colours, but at the moment it’s totally the other way around. I’m all about lipstick right now. Here’s another review for you of another current favourite. This time it’s from a little known brand called Oriflame, that has been around since the 1970s, a very similar model to Avon and to this day you can find similarities. First off, cute packaging again, very pretty…
It’s a dinky, lightweight plastic tube. It’s not the highest quality though, the transfer has already started to fade a little, but it’s not a big deal. The whole look of it looks very 90s to me, but that is apparently a trend at the moment, so it’s not a bad thing. The shade in the bullet is a bright orange toned pink, very unusual.
When applied, it’s a sheer, smooth texture very similar to a lip balm than a more dense lipstick. It has a cute, sweet smell too a little bit Love Hearts sweets, that kind of sherbet, sweetness. Very nice. The finish of the lipstick is a cream with a slight sheen, perfect for the Summer. I also reckon this shade would also look awesome as a cheek tint. Here it is on, teamed with Illamasqua Morale blusher and a bareMinerals base. Wearing vintage sunglasses and a H by Henry Holland dress from Debenhams.
It’s not the most long lasting lipstick, but feels comfortable to wear and isn’t at all drying. It’s a really pretty colour and easy to wear. It’s a subtle bright, so great for those who might be a little bit afraid of colour. I would totally recommend trying Oriflame lipsticks, although their packaging isn’t the best, the colour selection and quality is good.
Have you tried anything from Oriflame?
