Outfit Post: David & Golaith T-shirt and House of Holland Tights

So, I just moved house. I’m now in a temporary place until I get organised to move in with my friend. Moving house sucks, I pretty much spent most of my time thinking of any possible way to avoid doing the things that I needed to do. One of the things I ended up doing last weekend was a accidental trip to TK Maxx, which then lead to a lovely meal out and cocktails with one of my besties, Sinead. Obviously, I didn’t want to go out wearing anything that I’ve worn before, so I ended up buying almost an entirely new outfit from TK Maxx, here’s what I got and how I wore it….image

House of Holland Pretty Polly tights were only £3.99 in TK Maxx, I got this fishnet pair and some reverse polka dot ones too, such a bargain and I love the quirky design, plus, despite being One Size fits most, these do actually fit me very well, so that’s an added bonus. I also picked up these Scholl boots from just under £40 too, they are such nice soft leather and I love how they look a bit like Dr. Martens but slightly more feminine. They have a small heel too, just perfect!image

I couldn’t resist this David & Golaith t-shirt in TK Maxx, it was just under £8, it’s got cats and a reference to the band Kiss, what’s not to love? Totally childish and one hundred per cent something that I would have worn when I was a teenager but not since, I’m glad I got it, it makes me smile. I teamed the new cute top with my favourite high waisted denim shorts, that I’ve had for years, they are from Miss Selfridge. I felt totally Punk Rock in this outfit, so thought I best soften it up a touch with my make up and accessories. Here’s a dodgy mirror selfie so you can see the full outfit in some kind of effect…image

I wore a giant polka dot bow (which I can’t remember when or where I got it) and my make up was my usual bareMinerals base, Eyeko eyeliner flicks and Lime Crime Red Velvet Velvetines lips, but to jazz it up a bit I used a white eyeliner pencil topped with Sugarpill Velocity eyeshadow on the waterline for a modern twist on my usual vintage style make up. I absolutely love adding colour to the waterline at the moment, such a simple way to jazz things up.

What do you think of my outfit?
