It’s burger time again! This was the fourth burger I ate in about five days, I have no idea why I’m not a fat person. Anyway, I’m going to continue making the most of having a strong metabolism whilst it lasts because there are just too many awesome burgers in London to be tried and tested.
Today, I’m going to tell you about Patty & Bun, which my pal Adam claims to be the best burger in London. They recently opened a small takeaway style shop just outside Liverpool Street Station, so we popped along to see if Adam was even close to be correct.
The Liverpool St shop is quite small, like I said it’s more designed as a take out spot, but there’s a couple of tables in there so we ate in. I went for the Jose Jose Chilli Burger, which has a chilli chorizo relish and rosemary fries (like what Honest Burgers have) it was pretty special.
I like my burgers with interesting flavours and toppings, so this suited me very well. The patty was a good size and well cooked, no pink middle like I prefer but still tasty. I was so hungry though that I didn’t take a photo until half way through, oops! Burger was a good one, definitely better than Five Guys or Shake Shack but not quite on par with MEATMission/Liquor or Honest. The chips were good, but again not quite as good as the Honest rosemary chips.
I didn’t much like the venue for sitting it, because it’s small most of the spots for seating are quite drafty by the door, but the service is good and the food is good, as well as drinks (including Lilt!) being super cheap.
Have you been to Patty & Bun?
