Colour overload with Sugarpill’s Burning Heart Palette…

It’s not very often that I put my make up on and then have to decide whether or not it’s too OTT for going out in public with, but this was one of those looks. I picked up the Sugarpill Burning Heart palette from CutECOsmetics a couple of months ago and hadn’t really given it a proper whirl.

First off, let’s mourn the sad image that is the smashed mirror that I caused to happen the day I received the palette, before I even had chance to photograph it! Anyway, this is the new look packaging for Sugarpill, it’s more pick (I hate pink) and the card palette if more lightweight than the older ones.

Here’s the colours in this palette for you: Flamepoint (non-Vegan), Buttercupcake, Love+ (non-Vegan), Poison Plum (non-Vegan)

The other products I used in this look included Kiko Cosmetics Frosted Look Lipstick in Brisk Mauve, Sleek Make Up CC Cream in Fair, Illamasqua Sophie Powder Blusher and Illamasqua Precision Ink in Wisdom.

I love how Sugarpill put together their palettes, they always have a great eye for colour combos, so I always like to try and create a look using as many shades at the same time as possible. So, that’s what I did with a little help from Google Image Search for some inspiration.

Look 2 (600x399)

I was really proud of the finished look, but decided it was TOO much for heading out to a gig in a Brighton dive bar, so replaced it with a simpler look for leaving the house. I’d definitely wear this for a special occasion or a big night out though.

What do you think? Too much?
