This month was MCM Comic Con in London and we headed over for my second ever Comic Con. If you don’t know what Comic Con is, where have you been!? It’s THE place to go for anyone who LOVES games, films, comics and all those things associated with those things.
This time it seemed smaller than the April one, but I think that was part to do with the fact that they sensibly condensed everything into one room this time AND we had more than one hour of time to browse too.
Previews of the upcoming Batman PS4 game featured massive queues and this beast of a Batmobile, the game looks ACE. We particuarly loved the perfect Penguin cosplay from the Gotham series that we spotted. I’m too polite to ask to take pictures of people’s outfits at the moment, so you’ll just have to trust me on that one.
This year, we were treated to a super kawaii Hello Kitty stand featuring make up, temp tattoos, a photobooth and Hello Kitty herself. Check out this chair, I want one in my house. Miz took a photo of me in this chair but it looks like I was taking a poop, so best not to share that one.
Staying on the cute and pretty theme, the lovely Glitterbomb had a gorgeous stand featuring their acrylic jewellery and new nylon skater dresses. A lovely brand, deffo check them out.
I don’t fully know what these Hello Kitty bean things are, but aren’t they cute. A good example of the sort of random things you can find on Comic Con stalls. We played some PS4 games demos too, this Naruto game stood out for us, it’s just a versus fighting game but you can play as some pretty mega magical monsters, I don’t know the Naruto franchise much myself so can’t say more than that. The graphics were done in a way that they looked hand drawn which made it look pretty special.
Does anyone else recognise these weird monkey things? I had one as a kid and didn’t know that they were still a thing. Last I saw of them was on a necklace that my Mum picked up from Hong Kong purely because the thought it was so odd that the creature still existed.
We got to hug a Pac Man ghost, so that’s a good thing.
AND! I FINALLY got to meet one of my fave bloggers, Megan from Briar Rose in her wonderful cosplay. Go check out her MCM blog posts for much better photos than mine. The lighting in the venue is pretty challenging without a mega camera set up and it gets so busy that it can be a struggle.
We picked up some awesome bargains whilst at Comic Con, none of the stuff we were intending to get but nonetheless some ace things. I’m reading the Batman Hush graphic novel at the moment and Miz is digging Rocksmith on the PS4 which was only £20! I’ll review some of these things in the coming weeks.

I like the way your ghost is side eyeing you haha! I bet people would be totally flattered if you asked to take their picture ^_^
I think it’s because cosplayers get stopped SO much when they have good outfits on, it must be quite annoying, I don’t know how you’re supposed to get anything done when you’re in cosplay at these things. NEXT TIME! I’ll try harder.
oh wow that looks like a fantastic day out. It totally passed me by that this was on but I would love to go to a Comic Con some time.
I went to the Newcastle Comic con and yours looks so much better….hehehe! I may have spent a small fortune at ours x
Ha yes I see your point! I’ve been on the Insert Coin site trying to buy a Hello Kitty gamer tee and I can’t find it anywhere :o/
That’s so weird! Give them a tweet and see what’s going on. I know they were doing first looks at MCM and not sure when they were doing online sales.
