It’s that time of the month when I get my little pouf of blog inspiration back and get my ass into gear and back to making content for myself and whoever is reading. Hooray! Today is a little look I wore a few weeks ago and the first time of trying some of these new products.
So the first thing that was new in this look was the new Precision Brow Gel from Illamasqua in shade Glimpse. This product is essentially a dupe for the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Pomade and already catch the hears of love of make up fans. It’s the same texture as a gel liner in my eyes and very easy to work with for precise lines and block colour, however, a good brush is essential. I found that my brows were too blocky in this look using a angled brush. I’d suggest using a finer brush and drawing in strokes rather than a block. This product really does stay put though, so deffo one to try out for your brow loving peeps.
I love adding a pop of colour to the eyes by focusing on the lash line when I want a quick and simple look and this one is using three shades from the Urban Decay Electric palette which I’ve been lusting off since it first launched. A gorgeous array of bright colours with shimmer and matte finishes, not quite as pigmented as I’d have thought but deffo buildable and versatile.
Eyes are finished with the mega Code Beautiful fibre mascara from BeautyMART, I’ve been using this for about a month and it’s quickly become my fave. I’ve not gotten on with fibre mascaras before but this one is deffo worth it. It’s quite unusual as well as it is buildable even when it’s dry so quite easy to go from subtle to dramatic at anytime of the day.
I’ve worn OCC Lip Tar before, I love the brand as a whole and their fab range of crazy colours, my only problem with them is that they generally don’t stay put as well as I’d like, so delighted to try one of their matte offerings this time. This is Black Dahlia from the OCC Matt Lip Tar range, a light application this time and it stays put! Hooray!
