OMG! OMG! Hold onto your badonkadonks, here’s a first look at the upcoming Borderlands clothing collection with the awesome, UK based Insert Coin Clothing. As some of you know, Borderlands has been the game that got me back into gaming and I absolutely LOVE it. I also love Insert Coin Clothing, they are awesome dudes, so this is an exciting release that’s coming early 2016.
Insert Coin Clothing released the initial design concepts for their upcoming Borderlands collaboration yesterday on their blog, you can head over there to see the full line up, the above bomber jacket is one of these pieces that has piqued my interest. It’s Vault Hunter-tastic and totally wearable too. Can’t wait to see it IRL.
For fans of some of the more obscure Borderlands references there’s Tiny Tina badonkadonks and Butt Stallion designs too. I love that they’ve used these odd references, I just hope they place them on some more exciting coloured garments, grey and pink (especially pale versions) are two colours that I really don’t wear.
For those looking for a more low key reference to the 2K Games franchise, there’s going to be a garment for each of the weapons manufacturers from within the game, they’ve done an awesome job at these and I’m sure many will enjoy wearing a niche reference to one of their favourite games that only other fellow Vault Hunters will get. Here’s just three of them for a flavour.
For an even subtler, cuter and super wearable print they’ve come up with this all over print of Claptrap in various disguises which will launch on both leggings and lounge pants, these are seriously awesome.
Other items in the collection include a Moxxi’s hoody, Claptrap tee and a rad Psycho’s basketball jersey. Really cool, no officially launch date yet but it’s looking like early 2016 and I wouldn’t be surprised if it premières at one of the gaming or comic cons at the start of the year. Keep an eye out for more info!
